22“以色列人哪，你们要听我这些话：拿撒勒人耶稣就是上帝以异能、奇事、神迹向你们证明出来的人，这些事是上帝藉着他在你们中间施行，正如你们自己知道的。 23他既按着上帝确定的旨意和预知被交与人，你们就藉着不法之人的手把他钉在十字架上，杀了。 24上帝却将死的痛苦解除，使他复活了，因为他原不能被死拘禁。 25大卫指着他说： ‘我看见主常在我眼前， 他在我右边，使我不至于动摇。 26所以我心里欢喜，我的舌头快乐， 而且我的肉身要安居在指望中。 27因你必不将我的灵魂撇在阴间， 也不让你的圣者见朽坏。 28你已将生命的道路指示我， 必使我在你面前充满快乐。’ 29“诸位弟兄，先祖大卫的事，我可以坦然地对你们说：他死了，也埋葬了，而且他的坟墓直到今日还在我们这里。 30既然大卫是先知，他知道上帝曾向他起誓，要从他的后裔中立一位坐在他的宝座上。 31他预先看见了，就讲论基督的复活，说： ‘他不被撇在阴间； 他的肉身也不见朽坏。’ 32这耶稣，上帝已经使他复活了，我们都是这事的见证人。 33他既被高举在上帝的右边，又从父受了所应许的圣灵，就把你们所看见所听见的，浇灌下来。 34大卫并没有升到天上，但他自己说： ‘主对我主说： 你坐在我的右边， 35等我使你的仇敌作你的脚凳。’ 36故此，以色列全家当确实知道，你们钉在十字架上的这位耶稣，上帝已经立他为主，为基督了。” 37众人听见这话，觉得扎心，就对彼得和其余的使徒说：“诸位弟兄，我们该怎样做呢？” 38彼得对他们说：“你们各人要悔改，奉耶稣基督的名受洗，使你们的罪得赦免，就会领受所赐的圣灵。 39因为这应许是给你们和你们的儿女，并一切在远方的人，就是给所有主—我们的上帝所召来的人。” 40彼得还用更多别的话作见证，劝勉他们说：“你们当救自己脱离这弯曲的世代。” 41于是领受他话的人，都受了洗；那一天，门徒约添了三千人。 42他们都专注于使徒的教导和彼此的团契，擘饼和祈祷。 43众人都心存敬畏；使徒们又行了许多奇事神迹。 44信的人都聚在一处，凡物公用， 45又卖了田产和家业，照每一个人所需要的分给他们。 46他们天天同心合意恒切地在圣殿里敬拜，且在家中擘饼，存着欢喜坦诚的心用饭， 47赞美上帝，得全体百姓的喜爱。主将得救的人天天加给他们。

• 路加福音 12:13-34

13人群中有一个人对耶稣说：“老师！请你吩咐我的兄弟和我分家产。” 14耶稣对他说：“你这个人！谁立我作你们的判官，或给你们分家产的呢？” 15于是他对他们说：“你们要谨慎自守，躲避一切的贪心，因为人的生命不在于家道丰富。” 16然后他用比喻对他们说：“有一个财主，田地出产丰富。 17他自己心里想：‘我的出产没有地方储藏，怎么办呢？’ 18就说：‘我要这么办：要把我的仓库拆了，另盖更大的，在那里好储藏我一切的粮食和财物， 19然后要对我自己说：你这个人哪，你有许多财物积存，可供多年享用，只管安安逸逸吃喝快乐吧！’ 20上帝却对他说：‘无知的人哪！今夜就要你的性命，你所预备的要归谁呢？’ 21凡为自己积财，在上帝面前却不富足的，也是这样。” 22耶稣又对门徒说：“所以，我告诉你们，不要为生命忧虑吃什么，为身体忧虑穿什么。 23因为生命胜于饮食，身体胜于衣裳。 24你们想一想乌鸦：它们既不种也不收，既没有仓又没有库，上帝尚且养活它们。你们比飞鸟要贵重得多呢！ 25你们哪一个能藉着忧虑使寿数多加一刻呢？ 26这最小的事你们尚且不能做，何必忧虑其余的事呢？ 27你们想一想百合花是怎么长起来的：它也不劳动，也不纺线。然而我告诉你们，就是所罗门极荣华的时候，他所穿戴的还不如这些花的一朵呢！ 28你们这小信的人哪！野地里的草今天还在，明天就丢在炉里，上帝还给它这样的妆饰，何况你们呢？ 29你们不要求吃什么，喝什么，也不要挂虑。 30这都是世上的外邦人所求的；你们需要这些东西，你们的父都知道。 31你们只要求他的国，这些东西就必加给你们了。 32你们这小群，不要惧怕，因为你们的父乐意把国赐给你们。 33你们要变卖财产周济人，为自己预备永不坏的钱囊和用不尽的财宝在天上，就是贼不能近，虫不能蛀的地方。 34因为你们的财宝在哪里，你们的心也在哪里。”

为了成就战胜破碎、带来属灵新人类的伟大工作，耶稣基督，就是取了罪人样式的上帝，必须来到世上受死，但天父却使他死而复活，借此证实他已得胜并完成了自己的使命。现在，他邀请我们转离我们自己的道路，到他那里去，相信他才是那唯一的道路。圣经称之为“悔改”。这个福分不只属于我们，也属于世世代代。

在充满忧虑的人生之中，耶稣给了我们勉励的话语。

不理会上帝的声音，往好了说是愚昧，往差了说就是灾难！我们不应该只满足于更多了解上帝的话语；至关重要的，是要听从他的话语！上帝正在对你说些什么？（箴言 1:20-33）

作为人，我们谈论的一些事，其实连自己都未必明白。在约伯记38章里（约伯记 38:1-41），上帝向约伯接连提出一串问题，约伯根本答不上来。我们凭着自己受过教育的头脑，可能想说：“这个我能解释”，但我们的骄傲却令我们未能领会到真正的重点——归根结底，上帝才掌管一切！新冠病毒或是自然灾害这样的悲剧，往往会在我们生命中放大这一事实。

上帝的道路非同我们的道路。他掌管并了解我们根本无法领会的一切。在这样的上帝面前，我们不该像河鲀那样自我膨胀、骄傲自负。恰恰相反，我们需要清醒面对现实。（约伯记 42:1-6）

22“Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— 23this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. 24God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. 25For David says concerning him, “‘I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken; 26therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope. 27For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption. 28You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’ 29“Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, 31he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. 33Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. 34For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, “‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, 35until I make your enemies your footstool.”’ 36Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.” 37Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” 40And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” 41So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. 42And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

• Luke 12:13-34

13 Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” 14But he said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or arbitrator over you?” 15And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” 16And he told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man produced plentifully, 17and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ 18And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.”’ 20But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ 21So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.” 22And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. 23For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. 24Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! 25And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 26If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? 27Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. 30For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you. 32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 34For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

In order to accomplish the great work of defeating brokenness and ushering in a new, spiritual humanity, Jesus Christ, God in the likeness of sinful flesh, had to come to earth and die, but God confirmed his victory and success in his mission by raising him from the dead. Now, he invites us to come to him, turn from our own ways, and trust in him to be THE way. The Bible calls this repentance. This blessing is not just for us, but for all generations.

Jesus offers words of encouragement in the midst of a life filled with worries.

To ignore God’s voice is at best folly and at worst catastrophic! We must not just be people who learn more about what God says. It is crucial that we are people who hear and obey his voice! What is God saying to you? (Proverbs 1:20-33)

As people, we speak about things we don’t understand. In this passage, God peppers Job with a series of questions that are far above him. In our educated minds, we may be tempted to think, “I can explain that,” but in our arrogance, we miss the point! God is, ultimately, in control of all things. Tragedies, like the Coronavirus or natural disasters, tend to magnify that truth in our lives. (Job 38:1-41)

Before a God whose ways are not our ways, who controls and knows things we cannot even understand, our response is not one of being puffed up like a blowfish. Instead, we need a sober dose of reality. (Job 42:1-6)
