  • 腓立比书 4:6-7

应当一无挂虑,只要凡事藉着祷告、祈求和感谢,将你们所要的告诉上帝。上帝所赐那超越人所能了解的平安,必在基督耶稣里,保守你们的心怀意念。


  • 彼得前书 5:7

你们要将一切的忧虑卸给上帝,因为他顾念你们。


忧虑,常常在缺乏祷告的时候袭来。腓立比书4:6-7的作者将祷告与忧虑做出对比。我们在尽己所能之后,就要把当前局面的最终结果交给上帝。这会带给我们平安,因为到最后上帝定会帮助我们,救我们脱离困境。我们要做好本分,然后把其余的事交给上帝。显然这话说来容易做来难,但实际上这只是一种需要花时间学习的纪律:全心信赖上帝,相信祂说到做到;这便是祷告最要紧的部分。


  • Philippians 4:6-7

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.


  • 1 Peter 5:7

casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.


Anxiety often comes from a lack of prayer. The author here contrasts prayer with anxiety. Putting the ultimate result of the situation on God, after doing all we can do, will bring us peace because in the end God needs to come through or we’re in trouble. We do our part and leave the rest up to God. This is obviously easier said than done. Really, it's just a discipline that takes time to learn: trusting God and believing that He will do what He said He will do. This is a HUGE part of prayer.

If you’re experiencing anxiety, try asking God for what you need, explaining why you need it in light of His Word, and then thanking Him for all He’s done in the past, confident He will come through.
