罪有一个特性，它会利用各样的机会在我们里面发动。特别是当我们面对律法、诫命、规定、命令的时候，罪就利用这些诱惑我们。最明显的例子就是，人从小一定有不听话的时候。为何小孩子会不听话呢？并非小孩子不想听父母的话，而是他们做不到。

「该做的善不去做」，成了人一生最大的魔咒。更糟糕的是，「不想做的恶却偏偏去做」。圣经说，会有这种情况是因为我们还活在肉身中，只要我们还活着的一天，我们就不得不面对罪的试探与诱惑。

保罗深知做人的困难，因此他说：「我真苦啊！谁能救我脱离这必死的身体呢？」很多人以为死了就一了百了，但是，死固然能使我们脱离罪的试探与诱惑，死也同时把我们关在永恒的地狱中。幸好，在保罗的经验里，他靠着耶稣基督就有办法「在必死的身体中活出复活的生命」。

当我们信靠耶稣基督的时候，我们就与祂的生命联合，与祂同死同埋葬，并且如今我们已经与主同活，有新生命在我们里面，有能力抵挡罪的试探与诱惑。将来我们也必领受一个复活的身体，永远脱离罪的影响。有什么比这个更令人欢欣鼓舞的消息呢？为此，我们每一天都应该为自己已经拥有的新生命而感到欢喜快乐。

Sin has a characteristic that it takes every opportunity to act within us. Especially when we face laws, commandments, regulations, and orders, sin uses these to tempt us. The most obvious example is that children always have moments of disobedience. Why do children misbehave? It's not that they don't want to listen to their parents, but they simply can't. 

“I do not do the good I want” becomes the greatest curse of one's life. What's worse is “the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.” The Bible says that this happens because we still live in the flesh, and as long as we are alive, we must face the temptation and lure of sin.

Paul knew how difficult it is to be human, so he said, “Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?" Many people think that dying is the end of it all, but dying not only frees us from the temptation and lure of sin, it also locks us in eternal hell. Fortunately, in Paul's experience, he was able to live out the life of resurrection in his mortal body by relying on Jesus Christ.

When we trust in Jesus Christ, we are united with His life, we die and are buried with Him, and now we are alive with Him. We have a new life within us, and we have the power to resist the temptation and lure of sin. In the future, we will also receive a resurrected body, and we will forever be free from the influence of sin. What could be more joyful and inspiring news than this? Therefore, we should be joyful every day for the new life we already have.
