从合一到成熟，从成熟到属灵争战，基督徒生命养成的顺序是很清楚的。合一最开始是一种「意愿」，说我愿意「竭力保持圣灵所赐的合一」（4:3），然后才在生命成长的过程中发展出合一的「技巧」，与上帝与人有正确的互动。这就是第四章到第六章前半部的要旨。

到了第六章后半，也是以弗所书的结尾，保罗提到了「属灵争战」，为什么保罗最后才提到这件事？最大的原因是，只有合一、成熟的基督徒才有资格进入属灵争战的最前线。

灵界是真实的，我们争战的对象是鬼不是人。跟人打仗容易多了，有些基督徒似乎很喜欢与人打仗，但保罗说我们真正争战的对象是那些「执政的、掌权的、管辖这幽暗世界的，以及天空灵界的恶魔。」（6:12）

这里让我们清楚看见，不合一会使生命停留在幼稚的阶段，没有办法长大成熟，结果就是搞错争战的对象，一天到晚找人打仗。然而，合一带来成熟，使我们看清真正该争战的对象是谁。

谁能穿戴上帝所赐的全副军装呢？属灵生命矮小的人穿不上，只有长大成熟的人才能穿得合适。你希望拥有成熟的生命吗？要从合一做起。你希望能为主争战吗？你要先长大。

但愿我们都能用合一的心志脱离那幼稚的生命，携手迈向长大成熟的境界，接受操练，成为属灵的军队为主争战。

The order of Christian life development is clear, from unity to maturity, and from maturity to spiritual warfare. Unity starts with a "desire" to "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit" (4:3, NIV), and then develops the "skills" of unity through the process of spiritual growth, having the right interactions with God and people. This is the essence of chapters four to the first half of chapter six.

In the second half of chapter six, which is also the end of Ephesians, Paul mentions "spiritual warfare." Why does Paul mention this last? The main reason is that only unified and mature Christians are qualified to enter the forefront of spiritual warfare.

The spiritual realm is real, and our battle is not against people but against the devil. It is much easier to fight against people, and some Christians seem to enjoy fighting against people. But Paul says that our real battle is “against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. " (6:12, ESV).

Here we can clearly see that disunity will keep our lives in an immature stage, preventing us from growing and maturing, and ultimately leading us to fight against the wrong enemy all the time. However, unity brings maturity, enabling us to see who the real enemy is.

Who can put on the full armour of God? A spiritually immature person cannot wear it, only a mature person can wear it properly. Do you want to have a mature life? Start with unity. Do you want to fight for the Lord? You need to grow up first.

May we all use the mindset of unity to break free from our childish lives, work together to move towards maturity, be equipped, and become a spiritual army fighting for the Lord.
