挑容易的路、捡轻松的工作是人的本性，然而保罗在传福音的事上，他只传不受欢迎的十字架。那些勉强信徒受割礼的犹太基督徒不专心传十字架，因为他们「怕自己为基督的十字架受迫害」（6:12）。

保罗在信中大量讨论为什么基督徒不需要行割礼，但在这封信结束前，保罗却说「受割礼或不受割礼都无关紧要」（6:15）。接着他提出最要紧的事，就是「作新造的人」。保罗不要读者只满足于知识与教义上的辩论，他要我们仅记信仰必需与生命结合。

许多人拒绝宗教，说宗教是无用的垃圾，那么它的位置由什么东西来代替呢？用音乐、香槟、享乐取代吗？这些会过去的事能带人们走向充满盼望的未来吗？

基督徒用十字架来取代宗教。十字架不是一种宗教的象征、不是装饰品、不是挂在脖子上的护身符，十字架是戴在心上。十字架是圣洁的上帝与污秽的罪人相遇之处，是每一位基督徒唯一夸口之事。

十字架并非代表宗教，而是代表再造与重生。凡在十字架底下谦卑屈膝的人，就是「作新造的人」，领受称义的生命，并且以「行善」绽放心中的爱。

Choosing an easy path and picking an easy job is human nature. However, in spreading the Gospel, Paul only preached the unpopular cross. Those Jewish Christians who force believers to undergo circumcision do not focus on preaching the cross, because “they don’t want to be persecuted for teaching that the cross of Christ alone can save.” (6:12, NLT)

Paul extensively discussed why Christians do not need to be circumcised in this letter. However, before concluding the letter, Paul said that " Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything" (6:15, NIV). He then emphasized the most important thing, which is to be a “new creation." Paul does not want readers to be satisfied only with knowledge and doctrine, but to remember that faith must be combined with life.

Many people reject religion, saying that it is useless garbage. So what can be used to replace its position? Music, champagne, and pleasure? Can these fleeting things lead people to a hopeful future?

Christians use the cross to replace religion. The cross is not a symbol of religion, not a decoration, and not a talisman worn around the neck. The cross is worn on the heart. The cross is where the holy God meets the filthy sinner, and it is the only thing that every Christian can boast about.

The cross does not represent religion but recreation and rebirth. Anyone who humbles themselves and kneels under the cross is a "new creation," receives justified life and blooms with love by "doing good."
