加拉太位于如今土耳其的中心部位，保罗写信给加拉太的众教会，是因为「你们这么快就离开那位借着基督之恩呼召你们的上帝，而去随从别的福音。」（加拉太书1:6）

通常在保罗的书信里面，他会在问候语之后说出「感恩的话」。但在加拉太书，这样的感恩不但没有出现，保罗还以「责备的话」取代。

什么事令保罗如此急切呢？原来当保罗在加拉太地区传福音之后，有另一群「热心」的犹太基督徒也跟着保罗的脚步，去到保罗所建立的各教会中对信徒进行「洗脑」。他们教导外邦信徒信了耶稣之后，还必须进一步接受「割礼」（犹太化），才能得救。这样的论点完全背弃了「因信称义」的真理！

上帝的恩典远远超过我们的想像。当世人还在靠着行善、修行或各样宗教的方法，试图拿到天堂的门票，上帝早已为我们付上了代价。 「基督照我们父上帝的旨意，为我们的罪舍己，要救我们脱离现今这罪恶的世代。」（加拉太书1:4）上帝的独生子耶稣基督为我们的罪钉死在十字架上，只要承认这个事实并接受耶稣做救主，我们就能得救，这就是「因信称义」。

Galatia is located in the central part of present-day Turkey. Paul wrote a letter to the churches in Galatia because they had " so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel" (Galatians 1:6).

Usually in Paul's letters, he would express "thanksgiving" after his greeting. But in the book of Galatians, there is no such thanksgiving, and Paul replaces it with rebuke.

What made Paul so urgent? After Paul preached the gospel in the Galatian region, another group of "zealous" Jewish Christians followed Paul's footsteps and went to the churches he had established to "brainwash" the believers. They taught that after believing in Jesus, Gentile believers must also be circumcised (Judaized) to be saved. This argument completely goes against the truth of "justification by faith!“

God's grace far exceeds our imagination. While people were still trying to get tickets to heaven by doing good deeds, practicing, or using various religious methods, God had already paid the price for us. "(Jesus Christ) who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father," (Galatians 1:4). God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, was crucified for our sins, and we can be saved just by acknowledging this fact and accepting Jesus as our saviour, which is "justification by faith."
